Quote of the Week: "You cannot change your destination overnight, but you can change your direction overnight." - Jim Rohn Content of the Week: Let's talk hustle culture. In a world of David Goggins, Cam Hanes, Eric Thomas, and others, it's easy to get caught up in the "just keep working harder" mindset. While the emphasis on giving maximum effort is certainly motivating, there's a crucial aspect that often gets overlooked: the importance of aiming that effort in the right direction.

Imagine driving on the highway and suddenly realizing you're going the opposite direction. Would you be getting closer to where you want to go? Of course not, you'd actually be further away from your destination. Similarly, exerting more effort in areas of your life that are not aligned with your true goals can lead to burnout and disappointment.

Take a moment to reflect on your college experience so far. Are you in an environment that fosters positive growth? Is your coursework or extracurricular involvement leaving you mentally and emotionally drained? If so, recognize that the solution isn't always to push yourself harder. It's crucial to understand that the effectiveness of your efforts is maximized when coupled with a clear sense of direction. Just as driving the wrong direction will get your further from your destination, pushing through a college experience without know what direction you want to head will only lead to exhaustion and disappointment. Big Questions of the Week: Where do you actually want to go? Are you focusing your energy on the systems and habits to get you there? Challenge of the Week: Identify one area where you can adjust your efforts to better align with your goals. It could be as small as making a tweak to your study routine.

Photo of the Week: Last weekend we cut down our Christmas tree! While I've grown up with Fraser Firs, and they are beautiful, there's nothing like going out and cutting down your own tree! Till next week, be kind, be curious and work hard. Tanner
