You Are Not Perfect

Quote of the Week: "Compound interest is the eighth wonder of the world" - Albert Einstein Tanner's Thought of the Week: Let's talk about compounding growth! Before I dive in, I'd like us to agree on these three premises:

  1. Compound interest produces great results over time

  2. In order to get compound interest you need to keep your money in the system

  3. The system (e.g., stock market) doesn't go up every day

Can we all agree to these premises? If not, shoot me a message and tell me what I'm missing. If we can agree, perfect! Now that we've agreed, let's talk about personal growth. This could be anything from changing your nutrition to hitting $1M in revenue to building a relationship. As high achievers we hold ourselves to incredibly high standards. Each day is a new opportunity, and we want, and most of the time expect, to show up at the top of our game and kick ass. Well, the reality is, it's not possible to be your best every day. That would be the equivalent of saying, in order to get compound interest the stock market needs to increase every day, which we've already agreed it doesn’t. What is possible is showing up every day no matter (e.g., keeping your money in the system).

The real secret to compounding growth is 1) identifying the actions that will compound to higher returns, and 2) showing up every day no matter what. Ease up if you're not perfect, and shift your focus to showing up. Commit to this and compounded growth will follow.

Big Questions of the Week: What are the handful of actions / tasks you can do that will lead to the highest compounded returns? What is your system to ensure you are doing those actions / tasks everyday? Anturas Community Accomplishment: One of our community members already hit and exceeded his Q3 goals! He's absolutely crushing it this quarter and it's taught us a few lessons:

  1. It's incredible what we can accomplish when we are focused

  2. We need to set bigger and bolder goals

  3. The key to accomplishing big goals is taking the first, smallest step

How are you doing on your Q3 goals? What is the most important action you can take today to hit those targets?

Photo of the Week: My mom is officially out of the hospital and into a rehabilitation center. While there's still a long road ahead, this is a HUGE step in the right direction. Till next week, be kind, be curious and work hard. Tanner
